During the on-line store rework process we had the following goals:
- refreshing the design in order to make the site more attractive for potential customers;
- keeping simple light yet up-to-date layout;
- improving the store usability and the way of product presentation in order to make shopping experience easier and more pleasant.
JustBedding.com.au store is based on X-Cart e-commerce software. The following changes were implemented by our team to achieve the goals:
1. First of all, the store was redesigned using CSS and DIVs what optimized size of the site pages and thus made them load faster.
2. New layout elements were added, for example, the top horizontal category menu that allows customers easily find the product type they need. With such a guide no one would miss the desired purchase!
3. X-Cart One Step Checkout add-on created by our team was installed. The module improves customer experience by streamlining the checkout process into one easy step. In addition, it uses AJAX technology what eliminates multiple form submission and makes order process faster.
4. In order to increase the store performance caching mechanism for CSS, images and Java-scripts was implemented.
