Today we announce an opening not of a regular retail store, but of a new mall - Babaloot store! Why are we so excited about that? The answer is simple - we are sure the mall will be successful, and both customers and sellers will just love it!
Actually, Babaloot’s strength is in its unique idea - the store provides consumers with a cost effective way to buy products according to the country of their origin. Babaloot team is sure that it really matters where goods come from - and that is the point that makes this mall different from other ones.
Babaloot site is based on a software that allows to create and manage a mall. Our goal was to rework the whole sale logic to satisfy the company needs, thus we have modified almost all processes in the store: payment and shipping steps at checkout, product import for sellers and management functions for the administrator.
In details, we have implemented the following features:
1. We have adjusted an approval procedure for the store administrator, so that he could verify and approve sellers and their products in a more effective way.
2. Product import has become more convenient for sellers, what saves them lots of time and makes the work more convenient. It is not a secret that product import and update can be a real disaster in default shopping carts, that is why we paid special attention to this feature.
3. We have totally modified checkout process. Now products in an order are grouped by seller, and a customer makes a separate transaction for each seller (and thus chooses payment and shipping methods for each provider). Sure, sellers now can manage their own payment, shipping and taxes options themselves.
4. The store administrator gets a commission from sellers, so there is commission calculation system integrated into the mall.
We really hope all the changes will help Babaloot to overcome ebay one day :-)
